HOW IT BEGAN
David Hicks Action Photography has evolved from three of my passions.....kids, sports, and photography. I have been the "Unofficial" Official Team Photographer for my sons' gymnastic team for the past several years.
Being a computer specialist for nineteen years, the marvel of digital photography had captured my attention. I would come home from our weekend meet, transfer the 150 or more pictures from my camera to the computer, and by morning I had the pictures edited and ready to print for the nearest bulletin board in the Gymnastic Gym for all to see. Everyone loved them!
Seeing the smiles on their faces and hearing their laughter has given me more pleasure than can be imagined. This has made me truly realize just how important these times are for all of us. Knowing that only a few of these young athletes will play beyond their high school years have made me understand how important it is to have these memories kept alive with photographs. These are times that we will never forget young and old. I am thrilled to be able to help preserve these memories forever. It is what I want to do. It is what I am supposed to do.
I have found success, and attribute it to my desire to be the best I can in whatever I set out to do, without knocking anyone else down to do it. My philosophy in business as well as life is based on integrity and quality.
As you browse through the pages of this website you will see the quality of the work I strive to produce. What you can't see is the service behind the image. All too often, quality customer service and integrity are put on the back burner when someone thinks their photos alone will make up for the difference. I'm proud of the fact that I can offer both.
